I have a bad love for Giorgo Moroder.. the godfather of synths, so this was the perfect pairing. It's Chromeo's "Call Me Up" vocals with Giorgio's "Night Drive (Theme from American Gigiolo)" aka Blondie's "Call Me." I also gave the track a new spin blending "Who Made You" by The Twin (Boy George). Rounding out the mix, there's some phone sound effects thrown in from Germany's Kraftwerk and Camouflage.

Slingshot covered AC/DC's "You Shook Me All Night Long" as dance floor remake with portions of Kraftwerk's Tour De France released on Quality Records in 1983. Slingshot from what I can see was a project produced by Gex Sawton , Jack Tann , John Lewis. Lead Vocals are by Kathy Kosins, who has recorded and released jazz records over the years. I liked this track but wanted to add something to it to give it more bump and grind, since the original lacked some punch. I added some keyboard sounds, sirens, beats, sfx and samples from The Jacksons "State of Shock" I still kept the retro vibe. I also built a new breakdown with a bit of Moby's Disco Lies remixed by Diskokaine.
Grab it now, it's more a remix but still a mash with some elements from Moby and Jacksons.

So Age of Chance was a cool "Sonic Metal Disco" band that made a few albums but are best known for this cover of Prince's "Kiss." Here's an millenium update with backing from a remix done by Prince for ex Bananarama Siobahn Fahey's single "Pulsatron". Did that make sense? A Prince penned cover version remixed with a Prince remix.

Oh, I couldn't resist hearing Dolly rocking with Fine Young Cannibals after I heard this track off her just realeased album, "Backwoods Barbie." Roland Gift and Dolly harmonize as the fiddles rock out with FYC's crunching guitars and David Z's synth drums. It's just good clean fun! Y'all come back now, ya hear?
